Happy Columbus Day! I hope everyone is enjoying their days off. I am still going to go to work, because designing and making jewelry is fun for me. At the end of any vacation I find myself missing my desk, all my jewels and beads, and of course Laila. So both of us will be back in the office today. We had fun this weekend and took our usual trip to Central Park even though it was a bit cloudy. The leaves are chaining colors and the city it beautiful. I love fall! The crisp weather is much nicer then the mugginess of summer. To celebrate the coming of fall I wanted to highlight this fun, unique and totally fall appropriate flower pin. The warm oranges and reds of this piece immediately make me think of Pumpkins, Thanksgiving, and piles of leaves. It also has a hook on the back and can be worn as a pendant. Many women, especially younger ones, don’t accessorize with pins so often. If you are not one to put a pin on your coat or sweater, one great way to use them is to pin it to a purse. Wouldn’t this look great on a brown leather bag? Are pins still hip or are the so passé? Let me know in the comments.
