With NYFW coming to an end, I thought we could blog about a recent trend. I have a very unique aesthetic, and I don’t keep up with fast fashion so much. Whenever I happen to make trendy jewelry, it seems to just be a coincidence. So it is always a pleasant surprise, when I notice a style or color I am using is being worn by celebrities or is on the pages of fashion magazines.

Lately, I have been seeing lots of chokers. Not just the thin subtle kind I remember my daughter wearing to school 15 years ago, but large statement necklaces with very short chains. I personally love this look, especially when layered with other longer necklaces. I think my pieces hate being alone, I always think they look better worn together! I decided to go through and find some chokers of mine available on my site and on Etsy. I also included some of my favorite chokers from recent runways and red carpets. Even people’s necklines have been looking like chokers! Julie Bowen’s dress at the Emmy’s had a built-in necklace.

Maybe I should go into dress making? What do you think? Do you wear chokers? Do you layer them or let them stand alone?
