Hi Everyone !
My husband and I just got back from a two week vacation in Italy. We both love to travel without too much planning ahead. We had a general and flexible idea of what all places we wanted to go. But except for the first two nights, we did not book any hotels in advance. This is an advantage of travelling off season that you can always find a great place to stay even at the last minute. We flew into Milan and spent a day and a half exploring the city. Even though there are not too many must see attractions in Milan, it is a great city with beautiful shops, restaurants and fun places to go out..
After Milan we rented a car and started driving to Lake Como. We drove around the lake visiting old little charming towns.
We took our time driving through the mountain region on our way to the Italian riviera on the north west coast of Italy.
The food and the wine were amazing:))
We spent a day in The Cinque Terre, which is a breathtakingly beautiful region and headed to check out the famous tour of Pisa.
We drove around Tuscany for a few days before heading to Venice. This is a winery in Tuscany.
Venice as always is so incredible and on top of it the art exhibit Venice Biennale was going on which was an extra treat for me:) We returned the rental car and checked into a hotel room with a canal view. This was the view from our room.
A few more pictures of this magical place called Venice
Our last day in Venice we went to see the Biennale. Sadly we did not have enough time to see all the exhibits but nevertheless it was enjoyable.
This was a cool cafe in the Biennale grounds.
Some more art..
